Removall appoints Jochen Gassner as Deputy CEO to drive global growth

Removall, a leading carbon removal and climate finance company, is proud to welcome Jochen Gassner as its new Deputy CEO, in charge of Sales and International Development. Starting July 7, 2025, Jochen joins the leadership team to help accelerate Removall’s global expansion at a pivotal time in the fight against climate change.

A well-known figure in carbon markets, Jochen brings nearly two decades of international experience, having held key executive roles at First Climate and South Pole. Throughout his career, he has led global commercial teams, advised Fortune 500 companies on their climate strategies, and developed a deep understanding of both voluntary and compliance carbon markets.

His arrival marks a major milestone in Removall’s roadmap to scale its impact worldwide. With offices already established in Paris, Rio, and Nairobi — and upcoming expansions planned in Asia — Removall is rapidly positioning itself as a global leader in high-quality, community- and nature-based carbon projects.

Backed by a strong growth trajectory, including a recent financing round with four major French banks and a strategic joint venture with Sumitomo Corporation in Asia-Pacific, Removall continues to build momentum. Jochen’s leadership will be instrumental in strengthening commercial operations and forging new strategic partnerships to bring premium carbon removal solutions to more organizations across the globe.
